This is a sports car from the house of Japanese automobile manufacturer, Mazda. The first model to hit the car market happened in 1978 and due to some financial crisis; the company stopped its production in 2002 model year.
Engine
The model was produced in three generations, 1978 being the first generation model release. The rebuild version was released in 1988 as Turbo II . The sports car was powered by Wankel or rotary engine that produces more power when compared to the other piston equipped engines.
The third generation model release happened in 1993 as Twin Turbo Mazda FD3S. This model was also powered by the rotary engine with extra performance accessories. The mileage delivered by the rotary engine was very high when compared with the other normal engines, but on the negative side of the engine, the fuel consumption was very high.
Safety Features
Apart from the power and performance, the rebuild version was very elegant to look. It was featured with all the safety and entertainment equipments. Some of the safety features in the sports car were air bags, traction control, antilock braking system, rear view mirror, seat belt pretensioners, and four wheel disc brakes.
