The sports car from the house of Mazda is in production since 1978 and the company has stopped the production of sports car due to its low sales. The new model with fresh design styles and added features is likely to hit the market by the end of 2010.
Engine
The recent RX 7 is equipped with a 1.3 liter twin turbocharged engine that produces power up to 255 hp and torque of 217 lb ft. The engine in the vehicle is mated to a standard five-speed manual, while it offers four-speed automatic transmission as optional.
Features
The mechanical features provided in the sports car include engine oil cooler, power plant frame, electronic fuel injection system, 2-rotor inline rotary engine with sequential twin turbochargers, anti lock brake system, torsion torque sensing limited slip differential, rack and pinion steering, and power assisted four wheel ventilated disc brakes with ducted backing plates and aluminum four piston front calipers.

The interiors in the sports car include sport cloth upholstery, highback bucket seats, 180 mph speedometer, oil pressure gauges, RX7 radio, leather wrapped steering wheel, tachometer, remote lift gate, power doors and locks, defroster/heater with four speed blower and side window demisters, cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls and air bags. Apart from RX7 radio, the sports car is also featured with other entertainment equipments.
