The sports car, Mazda RX 7 stood #7 in a list of top ten sports cars in the world. The model was offered in three versions, namely the R, base and the touring. The sports car also offered three different engines: 13b resi engine that delivers up to 109 kilo watts, 1.3 liter S4 engine and the 13b turbo charged engine that produces power up to 136 kilo watts.
Engine
The initial engine from the RX7 motors was the 13b resi engine, so as to meet the power needs of the vehicle it was upgraded to a rotor engine. The engines produced were also called as the Wankel or rotary engines. The 1308 cc, 1.3 liter rotary 2 engine produces 190 kilo watts of power at an angular speed of 6500 rpm and torque of 217 rpm at an angular speed of 5000 rpm.
