This model is a sports vehicle manufactured by Mazda. The first version was released in 1978 and due to some financial problems; the company stopped its production since 2002.
Engine
The main feature in the sports car is its motor. It is an 1146 cc twin rotor Wankel rotary engine offered in the rear wheel drive. The car was released as a replacement to the RX3 model.
The light weight and compact motor, rotary or Wankel engine is positioned back side of the front axle. The sports model is offered as a two seat coupe version with rear seats provided as optional. With the powerful engine equipped in the vehicle, the sports car delivered great performance.
The sports car was among the ten best list for five times and sold about 811,634 cars. This model was redesigned in three different generations, first being the R X 7, second- turbo and the third generation model as FD3S (Twin Turbo).
On the positive of the vehicle, it delivers great performance, while on the negative side of the sports car the consumption of fuel by the engine is very high.
