The sports car, Maxda RX7 stood in 7th position in a list of top ten sports cars in the world. Though officially not announced by the company resources, it is expected that the revised version of RX 7 will hit the car market in 2010 model year. The model is expected to come out as a sporty roadster model.
Engine
The initial sports model was powered by a 13b resi engine, where as to meet to the next generation requirements, later the engine was upgraded to a most powerful rotor engine. The sports variant was offered in three trims- touring, R and the base model. It also offered three engines: 13b that produces 109 kilo watts of power, 1.3 liter S4 engine and the 13b turbo charged engine that produces 136 kilo watts of power.
Performance
The initial model, in 1980 and 1981 won the championship of British touring car. The 1.3 liter rotary 2 engine can produce power up to 255 hp at an angular speed of 6500 rpm and torque of 217 lb ft at an angular speed of 5000 rpm. Some of the interiors in the Mazda RX7 include CFC free liquid air conditioning, cargo area light, audio anti theft protection code, cruise control, courtesy lights, and head restraints.
