Mazda RX-7 is one of the classic sports vehicles from Japan. It is well known for its unique rotary engine, sleek styling, and affordable price. Here is an insight to the older and current versions of Mazda RX7.

Current Mazda RX-7

The current RX7 was initially launched in the year 1993. It is a two-door rear-wheel-drive coupe attained in single trim. The vehicle is powered by a twin-turbocharged1.3-liter rotary engine that can generate torque of around 217 pound-feet and 255 horsepower.

Mazda RX7 is an imposing all-around performer. It is agile, fast, and light. The suspension has been tuned for track; it comes with many high-performance features like limited-slip differential, five-speed manual transmission, and four-wheel antilock brakes.


Past Mazda RX-7

The first generation vehicles are sold from the year 1979- 85; the initial RX-7 was small and light. This sports coupe could generate 100-hp with total displacement of 1.1-liter. It was mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission.

The second-generation Mazda RX-7 got many changes when compared to the previous model. A 1.3-L power plant was included in the vehicle. The second generation vehicles were roughly pounded with optional 2+2 seats. They were equipped with independent rear suspension.
