The 1984 RX7 from the house of Mazda is a sports car featured with sporty front midship, rear wheel drive and twin rotor Wankel rotary engine. The 1984 RX7 is a direct replacement to the RX3 version. The RX 7 sports car was in a list of ten best list for five times.

Engine

This is the first model to equip with the centrally mounted tachometer. The sports car was powered by 1.3 liter 13B RE-EGI engine that produces power up to 101 kilo watts and torque of 135 lb ft at an angular speed of 2000 rpm. Though the engine produced sufficient power, for the next years, the engine was upgraded to a rotary engine that delivers even more power.

Performance

With the powerful engine, the car achieved the fuel economy of 19 miles per gallon in the city premises, while it achieved 29 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The sports car can accelerate from 0 to 50 miles per hour in a time span of just 6.3 seconds.

The interiors of the sports car include cruise control, cloth upholstery, rack and pinion steering wheel, cargo space, four wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, and Am/Fm stereo with five-speakers.
