Though the RX 7 sports car was released in 1978 for the first time, the 1982 RX7 became popular in its series. It was equipped with all the amenities needed for a sports car like interiors, safety and mechanical features.
The car was offered in three various versions, namely the base S, GS and GSL. Upon introduction, the base model was powered by a rotary engine and it is mated to a standard five speed transmission with overdrive.
